Why We Built This Site
Many Indiana court files are open to the public, but Dearborn County has no single screen that certifies every current warrant. Circuit Court, the two Superior Courts, and Lawrenceburg City Court control orders in their cases. Court files belong with the Clerk, while the Sheriff's Office handles service and county custody. MyCase is useful for finding a case, although recent or restricted material may be absent. The jail search concerns custody, and Most Wanted is only a selected Sheriff feature. This resource separates those channels and directs readers to the official office that can verify an answer.
What You Will Find Here
- Warrant lookups: how to run a warrant search by name and date of birth through the sheriff and the courts
- Outstanding warrants: how to check for active warrants and what an "active" status actually means
- Missed court dates: how bench warrants arise and which court holds them
- Charge-based warrants: how arrest warrants are issued and served in Dearborn County
- Resolving a warrant: the steps to resolve a warrant, from talking to an attorney to posting bond and a motion to recall or quash
What We Cannot Do
This is a privately run reference site. We have no connection to any Indiana court, sheriff's office, or state agency. There are real limits to what we can help with:
- We cannot run an official warrant check or confirm whether a warrant exists for anyone
- We cannot remove, recall, quash, or clear a warrant on any system
- We cannot post bond or accept any kind of payment toward a warrant
- We cannot arrange a surrender, a court date, or a warrant walk-through
- We cannot give legal advice or tell you how a specific warrant applies to you
- We cannot guarantee that every phone number, fee, or warrant listing on this site is current right now
The issuing court confirms its current order. The Sheriff can address authorized service or custody records, but no dedicated Dearborn warrant unit was identified.
Search Partners
Outside providers operate the search boxes shown on some pages and control their own services, results, and prices. A paid signup reached through one of those tools may generate a referral fee that supports free access to this resource. We neither set partner charges nor certify partner data. Results from those services are not official Dearborn County warrant confirmations.
